“Diamonds are nothing more than chunks of coal that stuck to their jobs.” Malcolm Forbes
Sticking to one’s ‘guns’ is a task of resilience that pays off in small but significantly measurable amounts over time. Just as the chunks of coal, we as professionals must stick to our jobs, and over time – with gradual change, develop into diamonds.
The diamonds of the nonprofit sector are some of the most influential change makers in communities across the world who lend their expertise day in and out to developing programs to better serve the masses. We all chose to be a part of the nonprofit sector for a shared value in investing our time and knowledge in our community and our people.
To continue to gradually develop as professionals and impact our community on a more meaningful scale we must refine our knowledge to suit the times, and better serve our community. This is a primary reason that continued professional development trainings are an essential aspect of one’s working life. Here at the Nonprofit Cultivation Center we’d like to thank you all for lending your time and expertise to us in completing our Professional Development Survey for 2012.
Our dedication to the nonprofit professionals in the community stems from an investment in one of our communities most prized resources – you. As such the trainings that we are offering in 2012 are a direct reflection of what nonprofit professionals in Boulder/Broomfield Counties need to stick to best practices, develop and grow programs, and meet the needs of our community along the way.
Forty-nine nonprofit professionals reviewed 13 categories of potential trainings for 2012 to let us know what trainings are most pertinent for your continued professional development.
Below is a brief list of some of the trainings that were identified by you as most needed. Be sure to check in with our Professional Development Training Calendar at the end of the month to sign up for the trainings that will refine your knowledge for better serving our community in 2012!
