A huge thank you to interSector Partners, L3C (Rick Zwetsch and Caryn Capriccioso) for their donation which encourages nonprofit professionals to take our professional development training survey. THANK YOU!

Because of Rick and Caryn’s support, anyone who completes our training survey is eligible to win a gift certificate worth $50 to put towards any professional development training we offer next year. Our topics range from risk management, to developing fundraising plans – that work, to management strategies, to Principles & Practices trainings, etc. It is comprehensive and our goal is to fill the gaps or partner with organizations who are offering high quality professional development trainings. Our trainings are low-cost and local.

The Nonprofit Cultivation Center’s professional development is designed to help with implementation. We all know the feeling of going to a training with every intention to implement what you learned right away. More often then we’d like to admit the training materials end up in a very well meaning pile that we might get to – someday. We hope to break this cycle with office hours and helpful and responsive staff who are here to answer questions.

We also recognize that attending a training might uncover the tip of an iceberg. For organizational challenges or opportunities that need more attention we recommend considering hiring a consultant. Find the right consultant who “gets” your organization and can infuse your cause with their expertise and move you forward without hiring a full-time employee. We are currently designing a toolkit for hiring a great consultant. In the meantime, check out our recommended consultants and check out interSector Partners, L3C website. I continue to hear rave reviews about their work particularly around earned income strategies and real time strategic planning although they do much more.

We are grateful for their efforts to strengthen our community as they pave the road between the nonprofit, for-profit, and government sectors. We’re thankful that they support our programs and believe that their donation will have an effect on our community “beyond calculation.”

Have you completed the survey to be entered to win training dollars for 2012? If not, please do so before Monday, November 14th at 9:00am.
